BC Fire Training Officers Annual Training and Convention which includes a broad range of education opportunities. BC TRANSCAER will present rail based instruction on general rail safety for first responders plus Level 1 Flammable Liquid Fire Response for rail cars. This training will allow participants to obtain further hands on training for Level 2 to be offered at the Justice Institute of BC Safety Training Centre in the future.

As an attendee of these information sharings, you’ll be involved in a classroom presentation on railway safety presented by railway personnel. After which attendees will move outside to get some hands-on learning with the static displays. These displays will include a railway tank car, fire trailer, locomotive simulator, trailer with common tank car valves, highway tanker(s), and a display provided by one of Saskatchewan’s CERCA verified emergency response contractors.
