As an attendee of these information sessions, you’ll be involved in morning classroom presentations on railway safety, tank car anatomy, and TDG safety presented by railway personnel. Afternoon sessions the attendees will participate in some hands-on learning with the static displays. These displays may include a railway tank car, fire trailer, trailer with common tank car valves, highway cargo tank, locomotive simulator and displays provided by BC area emergency response contractors.

BC Fire Training Officers Annual Training and Convention which includes a broad range of education opportunities. BC TRANSCAER will present rail based instruction on general rail safety for first responders plus Level 1 Flammable Liquid Fire Response for rail cars. This training will allow participants to obtain further hands on training for Level 2 to be offered at the Justice Institute of BC Safety Training Centre in the future.
