This is a 3 hour commercial explosives and emergency response seminar aimed at first responders that have no or little exposure to Class 1 explosives. It will be held at the new Surrey Fire Training facility on 64th Avenue in Surrey

This training is a full day session involving both road and rail transportation of dangerous goods. There will be presentations on emergency response topics during the morning session that deal with fighting large volume flammable liquid fires from transportation equipment, presentations on rail safety, LPG, response aids and sources of help as well as government presentations on transportation accident response.
The field portion of the day will involve learning about highway tank trucks and rail equipment involved in dangerous goods service, their valve types and emergency systems. Other learning stations will include emergency service providers displays, chlorine emergency response techniques and fire fighting foam trailers used by the industry.
