Prairie Region TRANSCAER Event

The Prairie Region TRANSCAER Committee would like to invite you to the 2018 TRANSCAER Event in Winnipeg.
 
Attached is the Event Poster which details the training that is being offered this year.
 
Special notes:
The daytime classes (08:00 – 16:00) have been fully booked already. However, we would like to extend an invite to Fire Chiefs, their Deputies and/or Training Officers to attend the full daytime classes as an observer. As an observer, you will be exposed to the training and the scenarios, and have the opportunity to discuss with the CN, CP, and BNSF Railway Dangerous Goods Officers about training opportunities that you would like your departments to get involved with.
Please contact Steven Santelli or Tom Bozyk regarding attending the daytime classes as an observer.
 
The evening classes (May 23rd and May 24th, 18:00 – 21:00) are available to any first responder.
Please complete the attached form or e-mail Steven.Santelli@cn.ca with the number of attendees attending the evening class(es).
 
Please note that all submissions to attend the evening classes must be in by May 1, 2018.

Echo Bay Fire Department TRANSCAER Event

257 Church Street East - Echo Bay, ON

The Railway Association of Canada (RAC), along with Huron Central Railway (HCRY) and Echo Bay Fire Department, will be hosting a Transportation Community Awareness and Emergency Response (TRANSCAER®) outreach event.  The event will take place at the Town Hall in Echo Bay ON.  The RAC's CCPX911 training tank car will be available outside on display along with a locomotive provided by the HCRY.
There will be an in-class session beginning at 07:30 and ending at 12:00 followed by outdoor displays from 12:00 - 16:00.

Note: This event will be limited to 30 participants.  There is no cost for registration.  It will take place, rain or shine.  Attendees will require personal protective equipment and outdoor clothing.
