QM Environmental Emergency Response Assistance Canada Regional Training and Assessment is part of the quality assurance program for the cross Canada service providers that make up the response network of Emergency Response Assistance Canada. Join the Chlorine Institute and TRANSCAER for a full day of rail safety and hazmat emergency response training in New Westminster, BC on either December 10th or December 11th, 2019.
Where: Training will take place at Southern Railway of B.C. (SRY), 2102 River Drive, New Westminster, BC V3M 6S3.
When: December 10 and 11, 2019 from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
What: Field exercises that will teach you the basics of tank cars, chlorine emergency response, A-Kits, B-Kits, and C-Kits, Midland emergency response kits, and the magnetic patch and a classroom session that will cover railroad 101, chlorine chemical & physical properties, and chlorine emergency response.
Featured hazmat: Toxic gases (Chlorine & Hydrogen Chloride); Corrosive Liquids (Hydrochloric Acid & Caustic Soda) & Flammable Gases (Vinyl Chloride).
